Supporting people to live more peacefully and mindfully and to meet life’s challenges head-on is my passion — I can’t wait to share it with you.

When I left home at age 15 to train in Sydney as a classical musician, I could never have imagined that decision would have led me here today, as a corporate facilitator and mindfulness teacher.

Since being introduced to mindfulness more than 35 years ago — as a way to help me through that lonely and challenging period — I’ve dedicated countless hours to regular practice and studying with some of the world’s best meditation teachers.

In fact, mindfulness has got me through many tough times, such as recovering from childhood sexual violence and a life-changing diagnosis of breast cancer which came when I was in my 40s.

Inspired by the transformative power of the practice, in 2019 I founded Open Wisdom — to run mindfulness courses that help people live happier, calmer and less anxious lives.

I’m a certified Professional Teacher with the International Mindfulness Teachers Association, and one of only a handful of people in NSW to be a fully certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, accredited by the Mindfulness Training Institute of Australia and New Zealand.

My lifelong love of learning also spurred me to become a trained Mindfulness Mentor, and a Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness Practitioner, along with ongoing attendance at multi-day meditation retreats.

Open Wisdom offers courses and retreats in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney, for individuals who want to experience the benefits of mindfulness in their everyday life.
